"Pilot" - Original airdate: December 2, 2003
Fan Comments:

"I really thought Julie's opening scene was terrific! It set the stage for her character's no nonsense attitude when her husband and the man he accidentally bumped into with his car were arguing. She just climbed out of the car and put the grizzled man in his place...right under her foot! And judging from her kids' reaction, this kind of "don't mess with me" attitude is far from few between! Again, she played a confident, self-assured woman in the interrogation scene when she and her partner duped "Crazy" into admitting he was aware about the threat to his life.

I think I am really going to like the smart - alec sassyness of Jennifer Sampson. I just hope that they expand on her home life a little more, which I'm sure they will. The rest of the cast are superb actors and I want to see more of their personal lives too. I believe that this show will be a hit, not only for the superior writing, but the extremely talented cast as well. This type of FBI/Mob show has been untapped in Prime time history, so there are a lot of people (especially "Soprano's" fans) who will enjoy this crime drama. I give it two thumbs up!!!" -- Stephanie

"I thought Julie did a tremendous amount in limited time-specifically the small part of the concluding montage at the end where it was obvious she's in charge at home and at work, and she's not getting any help from the hubby." -- Marina

"The one thing that I thought was fabulous was that in the short time she was on screen, Julie made me want to find out more about her character. We know that she's married and a mother of two - that she's the dominant one in the relationship and that she's very confident and good at her job. I think it's a credit to Julie's acting (and charisma) that although she had similar air time as some of the other characters, her character stuck out in my mind." -- Sheri
